Recently I was contacted by Kathleen Thomas for Primrose Preschools to let my readers know of the 2nd annual contest for a Family Dance off! The proceeds will be donated to a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of your choice if you win the contest. What a great gift for getting out with your kids and making a fun video.

Information provided by Kathleen Thomas on behalf of Dr. Mary Zurn, Vice President of Education, Primrose Preschools
In 2010, Primrose Schools launched a program that gives families an opportunity to embrace healthy lifestyles and impact children in their local community at the same time through a dance contest benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, we’re back with our second installment of the national Family Dance-off contest, and the prizes are even bigger and better!
All you have to do is submit a 30-second home video of your family’s best dance moves any time between Feb. 1 and March 19. We will select 14 finalists based on how many votes each family’s video receives (you can vote 5 times/day), and each of the 14 finalist families will receive a Flip Video Camcorder.
Viewers can then vote for their favorite weekly finalists on FamilyDanceoff.com from March 20-26. From there, our guest panel of judges will narrow it down to three winners. The grand prize winning family will receive a cash prize of $5,000 and a $30,000 donation will be made to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The second prize winner will receive $3,000 and a $20,000 donation to their local CMN Hospital, and the third prize winner will receive $1,500 and a $15,000 donation. The grand, second and third prize winners will be announced the week of March 28.

What a great cause. Everyone loves to dance. Well, most people do. Having fun and helping others is what life is all about!
Thanks for reading my blog. Are you going to enter the contest. If you do, I would LOVE to hear all about it and see your video! I am a retired pediatric cancer nurse, so this is a wonderful event to see.
