Day One on the Job as Nurse Mommy
Welcome Mommies – Today is my first day as Nurse Mommy and my parents will be thrilled I have once again changed my name. I was born with the name, Stacey Warner, but I briefly changed it for the “theatre”, to Lexi Warner, then back to Stacey Warner and after becoming a pediatric nurse I got married to a wonderful man whose name I took. Name #3: Stacey Hatton was born.
Today I am taking on the role and name of Nurse Mommy and am thrilled to share this new adventure with my readers. We will explore our Mommy-ness in our every day Mommy-doms. From a little scraped knee, to the common cold; from teething to pottytraining; from cradle cap to acne. Whatever topic arises, whether suggested by a reader or a thought I have which needs further discussion, this blog will be a place where Moms of all worlds can get together share their funny or crazy stories. I realize that as a mother you don’t have much free time to communicate with others, but this is a forum where I invite you to be yourself, vent, create, and of course…LAUGH!
I have a previous website which I am going to eventually merge with this one to showcase my published articles in KC Parent Magazine, KC Baby Magazine and The Kansas City Star newspaper. I have been writing parenting/health humor articles for the past year and am building up my resume. Please feel free to check out my website for these: www.staceyhatton.com
As I try to get some writing in for the day, my beautiful and silly four year old just entered my office with her sister’s Pull-up (clean, I hope) on her head. Yes, she does know how to dress herself, but she loves to make her Mommy laugh. She is giggling and shaking her, “Mighty, mighty, bottom” as she likes to refer to it. Ah, youth… wouldn’t it be a better world if we all could walk into someone’s office with undies on our head? Mmmmh…maybe not!
