The tabloids were filled with angry journalists and editors almost every day this last week, discussing a plethora of topics ranging from the Queen “dissing” Prince Charles’ wife Camilla by not giving her a kiss; to Donald Trump drudging up his very, very, very, very, VERY, proudest moment (which if I were his wife or his kids would totally tick me off) when he claims he single handedly brought President Obama’s long birth certificate to the public. Only a man of politics could handle that chore or a file clerk, but that’s rather here nor there…
Then when the public thought they couldn’t take anymore news so scandalous, Geraldo Rivera almost announces that there is an announcement that only the President can announce. Really?! I can’t take this kind of suspense. If I want suspense, I will turn on Sesame Street and place cash bets with my Facebook friends what the letter of the day is.
So the U.S. murdered Osama bin Laden. Even this has turned into a political war. Are we happy Osama is dead? And if you are, are you a bad parent? Or should you be mad that the U.S. got even with this villain and now we have to erase another bad example we adults have set for our young children. Not that the violent video games and movies have kept them pure of heart, mind you, but PLEASE, this is a big one to fix!
As to not start a war in the comment section of my blogsite, I am going to aim for Switzerland…the neutral…plead “the dumb blonde,” if you will. I refuse to tackle any of these topics so that my blood pressure will not raise up any more than it already has since this large brown lab danced on my back deck yesterday, scared my children under their beds, and then deposited a formidable size of doggie diarrhea in my front yard which I promptly stepped in while planting my lovely annuals. Nurse Mommy Not Laughing!
For the remainder of the week, I am going to concentrate on coaxing the children out from their beds, hose down my favorite shoes, choose the most outrageous hat in my collection (watch out Fergie’s girls), and find my recipe for Mint Juleps because I know the Derby is just round the corner and I need to be ready for that, Sugah!
